VALLENATO FESTIVAL

In the city of Valledupar, capital of the Cesar Department, since 1968, a vallenato music contest in which are played the four airs, puya, merengue, son, paseo  and various competitions are as piqueria and unreleased song, where many minstrels involved to win the crown of child vallenato, youth, amateur and professional king.

The Vallenato Legend Festival is the most celebrated festival in the city of Valledupar annually and does homage to the most recognized people in the vallenato this year will pay tribute to Diomedes Diaz.

It was organized by Consuelo Araújo Noguera, Alfonso Lopez and Rafael Escalona Michelse this idea born in a Vallenata spree in the city of Valledupar.

For many years the festival was held at the Plaza Alfonso Lopez de Valledupar, where the people assembled in the post of representative of this folk vallenato mango, it was completely free, each people could access all the presentations that were made in this representative site vallenato folklore.

Now today is celebrated in legend park where various singers CONSUELO Araújo Noguera delight the audience with his voice, to attend these events should be a ballot with which one representative enters this place, annually bring different artists this year bring Enrique Iglesias which is a famous singer of romantic ballads.
